Climate neutral and offsetting

Annex I, point 4c

Annex I point 4c prohibits claiming that a product has a neutral, reduced or positive greenhouse-gas impact on the basis of offsetting emissions (the Danish Consumer Ombudsman discusses this in sections 7.1 for products and 7.2 for businesses).

What the scan flags

Wording such as climate neutral, CO2 neutral and offsetting, on product pages and other pages, with a different note for each page type.

What the scan cannot do

The scan reads text on public pages. It cannot judge documentation, certificates or context, and it never says a wording is allowed.
